Andy Murray won his first Wimbledon title and ended Britain's 77-year wait for a men's champion with a hard-fought victory over world number one Novak Djokovic. Murray won 6-4 7-5 6-4 in just over three hours.
In 2012, the 26-year-old Scot cried tears of anguish after losing to Roger Federer but all that was forgotten as he beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets to become the first Briton in 77 years to lift the coveted trophy.
