5 Surprising Things The United States Doesn't Lead The World In

Most people may think that the United States is the World leader.Its not surprising because the U.S leads the World in a lot of ways but what is more surprising are the various ways in which the United State does not lead the world.Some of the areas are listed below;

5.INTERNET SPEED

I know people do think that the United States has the fastest internet connection but the fact is that the country is not even in the top ten countries with the fastest internet connection.The U.S currently ranks 13th in the world.
South Korea,Japan and Hong Kong are the top three countries with fastest internet connection.

4.OIL PRODUCTION

United States is the largest consumer of oil but the country is the third largest producer of oil in the world.
Saudi Arabia and Russia are the top two produces of oil in the world.

3.ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

I once thought that the United States had the highest alcohol consumption rate,i was very wrong.Alcohol is one of those items in which the U.S is far down the list.Not only are the U.S not number one or even in the top ten or top fifty.The United States rank 53 in the world.
The drunkest countries in the world are the Czech Republic,Ireland and Hungary.

2.CARBON-DIOXIDE EMISSIONS

This is another area in which the U.S are not the number one.In 2008,China which is the number one country that emits carbon-dioxide produced over seven million metric tons of CO2 compared to the United States which produced 5.4 million metric tons.
China also burns about half the world's coal every year.

The U.S is known as a Christian nation.Christianity is the largest religion with over two billion followers.The Christians in the U.S make up seventy-three percent of their population and once again they are not even good enough for top ten.
Number one is Greece with a 99.7 percent of their population identifying themselves as Christians with Poland,Mexico,Romania and Venezuela also on the list.
