Two years ago Senator Yerima Ahmed Sani,53,was heavily criticized for marrying a 13 year-old Egyptian girl in violation of Nigeria's constitution.
However after a series of debate in the senate house, Senator David Mark asked the senators to vote on a law that will approve the marriage of under-aged children irrespective of their age in the country.
The motion which was supported by the same Senator Yerima Ahmed Sani who is representing Zamfara west was later approved by the senate house.
What this simply means is that an 80 year old can marry a 10 year old.What is this country turning into,this is really unbelievable.
