An electrician who went to repair a faulty air-conditioner at Governor God'swill Akpabio's house found bundles of fresh dollars in the region of $250,000 inside the air-conditioner.
The money was allegedly stolen from the Governor's room by one of his drivers who is also the care-taker of the house while the Governor was away dining with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.The driver stole the money from the Governor's room and hid it inside an air-conditioner due to the presence of security that was present and wanted to wait for a more convenient time to collect his fortune but luck ran out when the air-conditioner developed a fault and was found by the electrician who went to repair it.
Reports claim that the Governor had ordered the dismissal of three of his stewards working at his house,suspecting they stole the money but it was later established that the stewards knew nothing about the money.
However the fate of the driver remains unknown.
