British Drug-Trafficking Mother Faces Death Sentence in Bali

Britain's Lindsay Sandiford has had her death sentence upheld by a Bali court for drug trafficking. Officials rejected the 56-year-old's appeal after she smuggled 4.8kg of cocaine worth £1.6 million (384,979,824 NGN) in the lining of her luggage.
She was convicted and sentenced to death by firing squad even though prosecutors sought just 15 years in jail.
