Almost a month down the line, police detectives from the dreaded State
Criminal Investigations Department, (SCID) in Panti, Lagos are yet to
track down the youngman, who allegedly killed his girlfriend in Ibeju
Lekki area of the state.
The story line sounded like tales from the fantasy Island. But, it
is true. A loverboy in Lagos allegedly killed his girlfriend, May 10,
and vanished into thin air with the personal documents of the deceased.
Since
then, police detectives from the dreaded SCID in Panti, Lagos have
become reckless and restive. They are on the trail of the 27-year-old
Victor Chukwuemeka Udenze over the murder.
Nigerian Compass
re-called that 35-year-old Miss Bianca Okoye was allegedly killed by
Udenze inside her apartment, while her two children from her marriage,
which kicked the bucket were sleeping.
THE BUILD-UP
Police
sources at SCID in Panti told our correspondent that the run away
loverboy demanded money from Okoye, who complained that she had no money
to give him at that point in time. From the body languages of our
sources, it appear that Udenze may be a gold digger and smooth
operator.
Our correspondent further learnt that he may have been
angered by the refusal and decided to strangulate the lady to death and
vanished from the apartment before his "sins" were discovered.
According
to our sources, the man may also have been drunk and was in dare need
of money, as he is alleged to have dealt a fatal blow on the lady, even
as the children dare not enter their mother’s room, while the incident
was going on.
However, the lady was found stone dead the next
morning, when neighbours forced the door of her room open and discovered
the shocking sight.
Nigerian Compass further learnt that the
case was reported at Elemore police station and eventually transferred
to SCID in Panti, Lagos for more discreet investigations.
Emeka
Okoye, elder brother of the deceased told police detectives that the
lover boy, determined to cover his tracks vanished into thin air with
the phones, laptop and other vital documents belonging to his sister.
But,
police authorities at SCID Panti are boasting that they will soon
catch up with Udenze. However, some social media have come out with
another angle to the whole story.
The social media are alleging
that the documents relating to the case that Udenze made away with, have
been discovered litering an un-named street in Enugu state. Ngozi
Braide, Lagos police public relations officer could not be reached on
phone for official comment on the incident.
